Summer Jobs 2013

We are currently looking for lifeguards and youth swim instructors. 

            Lifeguards: Must be American Red Cross certified and current C-PRO certification (CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer that must be renewed each year). Not certified? We are holding an American Red Cross Certification class this June. The Certification is $190 (paid in full on or before May 31st, 2013) and open to anyone 15 years or older, who can swim a minimum of 300 yards. Call to reserve your spot: 706-769-2782.

 May 31, 2013                Swim Test 6:30PM – 7:30PM

June 1-2 2013            Classroom 9:00AM – 4:00PM

June 8-9, 2013                Classroom 9:00AM – 4:00PM

Per American Red Cross guidelines, you must be present ALL 5 days for the duration of the classroom and swim test to receive the certification. 

No exceptions 

            Swim Instructors: Some experience with swimming, water, as well as a desire to work with children. Experience with swim lessons is a plus, but we will train the right person.

Inclement Weather Policy

 We have had a number of members ask us to explain our inclement weather policy.  When weather conditions (i.e. rain, thunder, and lightning) exist the outdoor pools will be closed to member use. The indoor pool will be available and members may use it at their own discretion.

 At times, weather conditions may become so extreme (i.e. direct lightning strikes, booming thunder, electrical surges) that the entire facility, including the large indoor pool, will be closed to protect our pumps, chemical monitoring computer, and other electrical systems form surges that can damage the equipment.

 During these rare circumstances we will have to close without notice. There is no practical way to notify our members of this closing, as our computer and phone systems will be offline. If you are unsure of the operational state of the facility, please call to verify. If there is no answer, this may indicate that the phone system is offline and that the facility is closed.
